About Dreamboats

Dreamboats is a registered charity staffed by local volunteers. The objective of the charity is to provide a recreational facility and to promote the enjoyment of the River Stour environment for the benefit of the local community and of course visitors, particularly children for whom the experience of a river journey by rowing boat is always a thrill.

Dreamboats commenced in 2000 as the result of public interest and support was gained from a number of local organisations.

Consultation with these organisations is undertaken through the community based charity Vision Wimborne, whose trustees are interested individuals or representatives of local bodies including Wimborne Town Council, Chamber of Trade and the Womens Institute. In addition invaluable support is received from Morgan Hampton Estate Agents, Wimborne Market and other local businesses.

We welcome visitors of all ages, particularly children (and dogs!), and we do hope you take the opportunity to take a boat trip thereby helping our efforts to maintain this rather special amenity.

If you are local you might you might like to consider joining our Happy Band of Volunteers. All skills are welcome! Talk to the boatman, apply via the website or contact the Chairman Pat Hymers on 01202 883442

Best wishes from the Dreamboats Committee
